Winter Wonderland...means no work!! yay!

We have about 5 inches of puffy perfect snow outside...and it's March 2nd! Shawn and I walked to the neighborhood school where there's a great hill for sledding. I went down three times. It was a little muddy at the bottom but I came out unscathed. From there, we walked to the restaurants on Walker and had lunch. What a great snow day! Thank you old man winter!

My sis, bro-in-law, nieces, nephew, mom and dad came to Greensboro to hang out for me and Shawn's birthdays. Thanks for a great time! The girls are taking ballet, so the weird shots of us dancing is us trying to get the girls to do ballet moves. :-)

Christmas 2008

This first picture is our official "Christmas photo" and the others are Shawn and Bruno playin' around at our house. We went to Shawn's mom's house in SC for Christmas but I don't have any photos! You'll just have to believe me that it was a great time.

The Outdoor Kansas Wedding

My cousin Sarah tied the knot! Outside, on a farm, and boy was it cold! But well worth it. A tractor took the guests to the wedding site in the field. It was an evening wedding and the pictures make it look a lot darker than it was. Check out the wedding cake...layers of chocolate brownies!!! Yum! Congrats Sarah and Hi!

Hayride on Hellar Farm

My uncles are wrestling in a buffalo wallow...this circular area of land is where the buffaloes drank and when it had no water, they wallowed in it. This was decades and decades ago, before farming, but the wallows are still there. The wallows have their own distinct vegetation because its still kind of swampy!
