Expecting....

A Girl! We are so happy to say that we're expecting a baby. Her name will be Alice, for Shawn's maternal grandmother. And we just like the classic name! In this photo, I am 20 weeks and 2 days along. I'm due on April 19th. Things are really going great for us here lately. We are grateful for our many blessings. Shawn will soon be a Greensboro Firefighter...something that he's worked very hard for, and definitely a dream come true.

Best Friends

Sweet, sweet Bruno and Ellis are best buds and it's so cute. Ellis is huge now, but Bruno can really keep up during the wresting matches in the living room.

Halloween

Okay, I know it's way late to post Halloween pics, but here goes anyway. We got dry ice for the first time and put it in my "cauldron." The kids loved it. They also loved Shawn's fake legs stuck in the door. I was a "Spa Lady" and Shawn was a motorcycle due. I know, pretty lame. But no cost to us!

Oak Island and Bald Head Island

We took a long weekend and headed to Oak Island and took a day trip by boat to Bald Head Island. When we hit the lottery, we're all about Bald Head Island. No cars, very peaceful, lots of naturla vegetation, very little beach front property since it's all protected. Beautiful!

Ellis the pup is here!

So, we got a puppy. Maybe we're trying to gear up for what it'll be like with actual children. :-) He's awesome. The rescue organization thinks he's a boxer/mastiff mix. He's a great little guy and loves our other dog, Bruno. Ellis is not quite 11 weeks now. But BIG, as you can see! He may be even bigger than Bruno when he's full grown...we're thinking about 100 pounds. Good thing we like big dogs. :-)

Our House

Winter Wonderland...means no work!! yay!

We have about 5 inches of puffy perfect snow outside...and it's March 2nd! Shawn and I walked to the neighborhood school where there's a great hill for sledding. I went down three times. It was a little muddy at the bottom but I came out unscathed. From there, we walked to the restaurants on Walker and had lunch. What a great snow day! Thank you old man winter!

Steph and Shawn's b-day with my family

My sis, bro-in-law, nieces, nephew, mom and dad came to Greensboro to hang out for me and Shawn's birthdays. Thanks for a great time! The girls are taking ballet, so the weird shots of us dancing is us trying to get the girls to do ballet moves. :-)

Christmas 2008
